An astute researcher on Substack identified the “first dose” data from OWID as a likely proxy for child covid vaccination. Here is the most recent data.
Andreas Oelher further speculates on the correlation between an out-of-season RSV wave in North America and covid vaccination. I could not find international data on RSV outbreaks in order to confirm. Presumably we will actually see some discussion on this topic in the academic literature in 2023.
Meanwhile, the Canadian government’s most recent data on toddler covid vaccination indicates very low uptake for covid vaccines in this group. So while Canada appears to lead the world in toddler covid vaccination, it does so with ninety-two percent of Canadian parents having chosen not to vaccinate their toddlers.
