Overall death rates in young people increased at the end of 2021, and this trend has continued in 2022. Among the first commentators to pick up on this phenomenon was Edward Dowd, who noticed it in life insurance company claims from the United States. Later, he noted a complimentary trend in disability claims. For his efforts in disseminating this information, he was banned from Twitter.
Another early commentator, who appears to have evaded censorship on Twitter by making use of very complex grammar and vocabulary is Ethical Skeptic (who can be found on Twitter and Substack).
The increased death rates are being noted by various analysts from various countries. Today, my substack feed sends me parallel stories from the United States, Scotland and Switzerland. Yesterday, it was Australia.
Closer to home, in Canada, these statistics lag by almost a year. Even so, two jurisdictions reported unusual patterns in their death data - New Brunswick and Alberta.
Suffice it to say that 2022 will not be a banner year for population growth β at least not in Europe, North America, and parts of Asia and South America.
Africa will probably do fine, one suspects.
