New/improved fall Covid boosters in the US?

Two thumbs up from FDA. No human trials.

FiercePharma is a website that monitors pharmaceutical developments from a business perspective. Here is its report on today’s approval by the FDA of new boosters for the fall. Of interest to those who have concerns about trivial matters such as safety and efficacy:

“Meanwhile, some critics have taken issue with the speed at which Pfizer and Moderna’s updated shots passed muster with regulators. A major point of contention has been whether the boosters should have been greenlit without data from human trials.” (emphasis mine)

This represents due diligence of a sort - “well, if the first movie was good, then obviously the remake/sequel will be awesome. So we’ll just sign off on it.”
