I’ve started each new semester over the past two years getting my students to calculate the CFR and IFR for the rona off stats Canada site, the reactions are pretty interesting
There were polls in the US in 2021 showing that political affiliation determined the assessment of how lethal covid was. I wonder if this reflects relative numeracy, relative fear, or some other factor(s)?
The dissonance on display here is the idea that the very low adverse events in previous years was "numeracy" and now it is not. Vaers is truly the best apples to apples data we have - sloppy, underreported, etc, but sloppy and underreported all along.
Once you give the jab to your kids, you don't want to hear about adverse events.
