Sex ratio in sports-related adverse events in VAERS

In a previous post I demonstrated the massive rise in adverse event and death reports in 2021 and 2022 which featured keywords related to sports: running/biking/swimming/sports. The hypothesis is fairly made that cardiac adverse reactions to covid vaccines could be responsible for the rise in death reports.

Based on previous work that demonstrates a strong association between male sex and adverse cardiac events, especially in the ages from 6 to 29, this post revisits VAERS sports-related reports to look for a skewed sex ratio.

SERIOUS ADVERSE EVENTS, SPORTS-RELATED, IN AGES 6 TO 29

We see a 2.5:1 male:female sex ratio in children and adolescents ages 6 to 17. In age 18 to 29, there is reversal of the sex ratio, with female reports predominating with a 1.3:1 ratio.

At older ages, female reports of serious adverse events predominate over male reports

DEATH REPORTS, SPORTS-RELATED, IN AGES 6 TO 29

There are 3 male deaths in the 6 to 17 year-old age group, and zero female deaths. In the 18 to 29 year age group, there are four male deaths and one female death.

This skewed sex ratio is present up to age 60:

SUMMARY: There is a skewed sex ratio in VAERS sports-related death reports, which may be most skewed in the youngest ages. The skewed sex ratio persists for deaths up to age 60. Overall, there are 42 male deaths, and 15 female deaths.

Serious event reports show increased reports in male children and adolescents, and then this ratio switches to a predominance of female reports in adult age sets.
